Fleet Feet Sports is launching an awesome new series of runs during the harvest at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm called Run Your Gourd Off. We can’t wait to introduce you to this one of a kind event on Sunday, September 30. A 12K run, 5K run/walk, and a kid’s Pumpkin Dash ½ Mile. Please join us for this laid back adventure on the farm.
All run distances take place on the farm dirt roads and surrounding fields of Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm. The farm is located in Wheatland which is less than an hour from Sacramento but it seems like a million miles away from the trappings of daily life. Imagine running through fields of pumpkins, orchards of walnuts, beside a corn maze or through a sunflower field on farm roads with reckless abandon. Check out the race courses for a full description of the fields each race takes you through.
Following your race stick around for hayrides, try your skills at navigating the corn maze, take a train ride, watch some Naspig races. There are endless activities on the farm for everyone. Don’t miss the petting farm animals or Coyote Mountain. Finish up the day by heading home with a trunk load of carving pumpkins that you’ve picked yourself.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Wheatland HS extracurricular programs.
