Run Your Gourd Off
at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm
Sunday, September 25, 2016
The 5th annual run on the farm roads at Bishops Pumpkin Farm will take place on Sunday, September 25th. Race distances: 5K run/walk, and a Kids' Pumpkin Dash ½ Mile. Please join us for this laid back adventure on the farm.Strollers are permitted in the 5K run/walk. Keep in mind that the course is on dirt farm roads.
Both run distances take place on the farm dirt roads and surrounding fields of Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm. The farm is located in Wheatland which is less than an hour from Sacramento but it seems like a million miles away from the trappings of daily life. Imagine running through fields of pumpkins, orchards of walnuts, beside a corn maze or through a sunflower field on farm roads with reckless abandon. Check out the race courses for a full description of the fields each race takes you through.
Following your race stick around for free things to do including: hay rides, the tree house, Farmer Bill's Barn, Naspig races, Children Singer Darrell Haskins. Also for a nominal fee: train rides, marble mining at Coyote Mountain, Cornfield Maze, and the Sunflower Labyrinth. There are endless activities on the farm for everyone. Don’t miss the petting farm animals and finish up the day by heading home with a trunk load of carving pumpkins that you’ve picked yourself.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Child Abuse Prevention Center.
